Who Are We?
Earlsdon Wheelers was setup over 15 years ago for as informal group, and we continue this approach. We are not a club in the traditional sense. There is no membership, no committee and no committee meetings. We are an informal group who get together to go for bike rides.
We are affiliated with Cycling UK which benefits Organizers Liability Insurance: £10 million protection for event organizers against any claims made against them. And as such require a small fee of £5 per year to cover the cost if you intend to join us for 3 or more rides per year
We are a group of people who like cycling, don’t worry at all about bikes or kit, and travel at an easy pace
The group has cyclists from Coventry, Kenilworth and Warwickshire area. We go for rides of about 20 to 50 miles in areas around Coventry and Warwickshire.
Where Do We Meet?
We meet outside the Library which is diagonally opposite the City Arms Pub in Earlsdon, Coventry .We go for rides of about 20 to 50 miles in areas around the beautiful Warwickshire
We ride every Saturday throughout the year and all rides start at 9.30am unless stated (see schedule).
Our Saturday rides have two groups – steady (~11 MPH) and faster rides (~ 15 MPH) so that riders can cycle at different paces. We also do a slower shorter ride on occasions if several riders show an interest. More often than not the groups have the same destination but different routes. The groups stop for refreshments.
In addition we also have ad hoc rides using whats App to communicate to the group.
